Post 10: Final thoughts

Imagen
Coneji  For me, this year so far has been emotionally difficult. Which has finally began to affect my health, having problems that I've never had before, like stomachaches, headaches, being really tired all the time and without much motivation. As I said on my first or second post (I don't remember) this career has been difficult to follow for me because it has been really demanding, and many things have happened in my life on the last 2 years, that have affected my responsabilities and performance on classes. Last year, when I entered in teatrical design, I had to move out from my home to one of my mother's friend house, because of the distance between my house and university. This year I had to do the same, but I moved to my grandmother's apartament, which was an amazing experience, considering that she passed away a few months ago, and we could spend time together before. After this particular episode, that really affected me, we started the strike here in t...

Post 9: If i had one year for traveling, i would go to...

Imagen
If I had 1 year to travel, and an unlimited budget, I would literally visit every place on earth, cause I love travelling and meeting other cultures, places and people. But I know I can't answer that so, if I had to choose a way  of traveling I might do a working holiday because in that way I could travel and visit.  At the same time I would be able to have my own budget and I might also be able to save a bit of money, or improve my experience on the area I would work on. A good idea would be using the first semester for traveling as recreation before doing the working holiday. In that moment I would like to meet mediterranean countries such as Italy, Greece and Spain. I'm a "sun person" so, i'm really intolerant to cold cloudy places, and instead of that i'm in love with sunny and hot places, with a great mild weather and i've always dreamed of visiting those very beautiful countries. I have family in Spain so that would make everything easier because t...

Post 8: My favorite subject this term

Imagen
I study theatrical design, and I'm on the first semester of my second year. In this term my favorite subject has been History of Modern and Contemporary Arts with the teacher Alejandra Morales. Unlike the majority of the other subjects I have, this is a theoretical subject where we learn about history of Arts. The dynamic is that she teach us with powerpoints and we have to complement this by reading bibliography that she send us before the class. In one point of the semester we are assigned to do one class of 45 minutes about one of the subjects of the unit we're studying, and that's one of the three evaluations we have on the semester. Unfortunately when we were on the strike (of 2 months) our teacher quitted because of personal problems she had with our university and other teachers, and we couldn't end the class with her. That's really sad for me because I loved the way that Alejandra did her class, and how she knew so much about what she was talking about, caus...

Post 7: A career-related website i enjoy visiting

Imagen
As a theatrical design student i need to have a sort of  "image bank" in my brain. That "bank" has to be made by watching tons of images all the time to have ideas for my projects and to know how to draw a certain thing, texture or even for knowing different colours and posibilities to combine them. The ideal is that those images comes from different places such as books, internet, videos, life experiences, etc. But in my career we specifically are very adicted to use the website Pinterest as a great tool to find our references. Pinterest is a website that stores tons and tons of images from around the world. It's like a Google of just graphic content, that includes not only images and photographys but also graphics, drawings and infographies with information on it, such as body exercises or makeup tutorials and instructions. This website has turned out to be really usefull to me when i need to find references for the different projects i'm working on, caus...

Post 6, free themed post: Paranormal events

I don't believe in ghost, i know that that's not the only paranormal activity that exist, but if we are talking about ghosts, then i don't believe in such a thing. First of all i believe that is really anthropocentric to believe that some evil force wants to trick or harm us, i don't think that any other force or spirit or demon is really interested on coming to disturb a simple human. (i'm sleepy, i'll ended this tomorrow bye)

Post 5: An important photograph

Imagen
I have a lot of photos, cause i love taking them and keep the memory from a moment, so it´s hard to choose just one important moment or something. I choose this photo because i remember that that was the first day of 2017. This was 1st january 2017, i was on Tunquen, a very beautiful beach close to Algarrobo where i go a lot because my father loves it cause is a really quiet and unknown place. In the photo i was on a natural pool and i was feeling really full of joy and happiness, i was feeling so calm and optimistic about everything, for me it was a really good start of the year. In that moment i imagined that that was a great signal of what a good year could be coming. Eventually it turned out to be a really busy year, lots of things happened, but this photo still remembers me of hope a little, hope of feeling that everything is going to be alright and that we have to be thankful of what we can find on the way. I love the sea and the calm that its waters can transmit to you, and ...

Post 4: (Free themed post) What is your take on...

The feminist movement that has re-born in Chile in the past few months is really exciting for me personally. I consider myself a feminist and i'm really into discuss and deconstruct every area that can be seen through the eyes of feminism, such as romantic love, relationships, violent situations, street harassment, power relations, etc. I think is really right that this movement showed up in Chile, cause it was and still is really necessary to educate us and others into feminism and the need of a huge change of mentality, both in men and women, to erradicate violence, agressions, harassment, patriarchy, abuse of power from authoritys in situations of power, and many more. The movement that showed up on our university made a huge difference per se, because it installed a very important discussion in our student environment and opened a space for sharing and discusing our bad experiences in it. Lot of us create bundaries with many smart womens from our spaces and lift up a huge movem...
